From airborne and satellite observations to model simulations
Cloud and Aerosol Group
The research areas in my group range from in-situ aircraft observations, to satellite observations and numerical simulations of a hierarchy of models.
The current projects in my group include improving the understanding of ice and mixed-phase clouds over the Southern Ocean, providing accurate quantification on the climate impacts of cirrus clouds, and using satellite observations to downscale PM2.5 fields to community scales.
Minghui Diao received the San Jose State University Early Career Investigator Award (ECIA) for 2018 - 2019. Each year, two faculties are selected for this award at SJSU.
Our group is in the Department of Meteorology and Climate Science, San Jose State University. We are located at downtown San Jose, at the heart of the Silicon Valley. Our department is located on the 6th floor of Duncan Hall on SJSU campus.
